Meet our newest physical therapist, Laura!
Laura is a Colorado native. She graduated from the University of Denver in 2011 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She was a paralegal for her first career, where she worked in Family Law and Construction Defect Law, but soon learned she wanted to work with people. Laura found her way into physical therapy through marathon running. She completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2016 from the University of Colorado. Laura has clinical experience working in outpatient oncology, where she learned how to treat patients with medically complex diagnoses. She has also worked with patients to address fatigue and weakness, improve their balance and coordination, and manage vertigo or dizziness.
Laura has a passion for public speaking and teaching. She is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor and has provided guest lectures at the University of Colorado and has presented at the APTA’s National Student Conclave on clinical topics and professional development for physical therapy students. In her spare time, Laura still runs (though her marathon days are over) and participates in Krav Maga for self-defense training. She enjoys mud obstacle course races and hiking in the summer and ice skating in winter.
