Maria Lopez, MA
Lead Medical Assistant
Maria was born and raised in a small rural town in south east Kansas, spending summers in her family’s hometown of Zacatecas, Mexico. After high school, Maria attended Garden City Community College where she focused on core courses across a variety of academic fields. Her family then decided to move to Artesia, New Mexico, where she enrolled at Eastern New Mexico University (Roswell) and took foundational courses in nursing and discovered her passion to provide quality health services!
Maria completed her training as a Medical Assistant at Everest College after relocating to Denver in 2008. She excelled academically, receiving the prestigious President’s Award graduating with honors and a perfect 4.0 GPA.
As a consequence of her academic excellence and ability to provide high quality health services, she was quickly hired to work at a pediatric office in the Denver area. There Maria spent six wonderful years caring for young children. She then realized that she needed a more challenging environment, and wanted to grow in a different direction by changing her career path.
Luckily Peak Form Medical Clinic realized what an amazing asset she would be to our dedicated team of medical providers and quickly offered her a position!
When not at work, Maria enjoys spending every free moment with her husband and wonderful kids. Most weekends are spent watching her son play football for the Mile High Football League, and taking her “little princess” out for a fun day of getting her nails done or shopping. Even though Maria is originally from Kansas, she is a Colorado sports fan and roots for the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies!
