Lorinda Emmanuel, PT, DPT, OCS
Lorinda has always enjoyed helping others. Physical Therapy is very rewarding because she gets to help others regain their life again after they have “lost it” through debilitating injuries.
She graduated from Loma Linda University in southern California and worked as a physical therapist assistant while putting herself through physical therapy school. After completing her Master of Science degree, she worked in acute rehab for three years, while also serving as a graduate assistant at the University.
Lorinda also became certified in lymphedema therapy treating edema in cancer and chronic venous insufficiency patients while working on her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree which she obtained in 2003.
Lorinda brings a wide range of skill sets to Peak Form Medical Clinic from her experience working in acute care, skilled nursing, neuro rehab, and outpatient facilities across the country.
Therapy dog Newton, affectionately known as “Newt”, is her lovable little dog who has been working with her for the last year and a half. Patients love him and he makes sure he gets plenty of belly rubs as he supplies his fur for petting during their therapy sessions helping patients to relax and benefit even more from their physical therapy sessions.
Lorinda and her husband recently moved to the Boulder area from Seattle, WA. They are already enjoying Colorado and its sunshine, mountains, outdoor activities and even the snow.
