Laura was born and raised in a rural area outside of Brighton Colorado. Throughout childhood, she spent much of her time caring for various animals on the family farm. Laura found a passion for fitness early on and could be found horseback riding with her sisters, four wheeling in her brother’s jeep, and riding her dirt bike. She also enjoyed family road trips to various Colorado attractions.
Laura attended Aims Community College and studied a variety of academic fields. She then dedicated the next 10 years to raising her four amazing boys. During this time, Laura worked as an Administrative Assistant for a construction company.
After 15 years as an Administrative Assistant, Laura decided to take a risk and pursue the field she was most passionate about. She accepted a position as a kickboxing instructor and certified personal trainer at World Gym in Brighton Colorado. Laura was also given the opportunity to mentor youth at risk for eating disorders and substance abuse. Laura found that she was able to help individuals find a better life balance by offering compassion and education on health and well-being topics.
After rehabilitating a neck and shoulder injury, Laura discovered the value of physical therapy. She went back to school, attending the National American University and earned a degree in Health Information Technology. Shortly after, she went to work at a small healthcare clinic where she provided administrative and clinical care on various levels.
When not at work, Laura relishes time spent with her family. You can find them camping, boating, hiking, skiing, and biking in the beautiful Colorado Mountains.
