Colleen was born and raised in Northern California. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with the intent to pursue a law degree, but after spending a few years working for corporate law and management consulting firms, she came to the conclusion that this was not her calling. Colleen knew she wanted to help people, so she took a position at Genentech, a large biotechnology company. While working here, she started volunteering at San Francisco General Hospital in the ER. Seeing the urgent medical needs within this community, and the need for greater compassion in healthcare, Colleen decided to pursue a career in nursing. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University. Colleen worked at John Muir Medical Center, treating high acuity patients in the endocrine/ renal unit, and at a primary care practice. With a growing passion to help patients avoid preventable disease and injury, she made the decision to become a Nurse Practitioner. With her very patient husband and three young children in tow, Colleen attended Samuel Merritt University’s Master of Science in Nursing program.
Colleen then worked as a RN at UC Health, completed her Nurse Practitioner clinical residencies at a busy family practice in Aurora, graduated with her MSN, and is now a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Colleen is very excited to be at Peak Form Medical Clinic, supporting patients in their return to ‘peak’ physical form and encouraging healthy lifestyle habits to improve physical function and overall quality of life. When she’s not working, Colleen enjoys running and hiking on the beautiful Colorado trails, snowboarding, swimming, gardening, and going on spontaneous outdoor adventures with her husband, three young children, and two dogs.
